An 89-year-old woman was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after being rescued by firefighters from a house fire in East Lothian this morning. (30th April).
Two appliances attended the blaze at Cockburn Drive in Ormiston after the call came in at 4.08am. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire in the sitting room of the semi-detached property.
The casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance.
